GlaxoSmithKline Exec Outed in Chapel Hill

category chapel hill | animal rights | news report author Saturday March 22, 2008 19:50author by ARactivists Report this post to the editors

GSK executive finds a protest outside his front door.

Today activists held a protest outside the home of executive Eric Lewis who is the Director of Clinical Pharmacology at GlaxoSmithKline in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. When his wife came out to see what was happening and was offered a flier, she only responded with, "How did you find this address?" The demo went well until the police showed up responding to neighbor's complaints. After being told we weren't allowed to make ANY noise at all and threatened with arrest, we left the protest early, but the message was already clear: GlaxoSmithKline has not gotten off. Activists around the country are still going to protest their executives until their drug-pushing company stops contracting with HLS to kill innocent animals every day. We urge everyone to keep doing demonstrations against them and, especially, home demos.

Huntingdon Life Sciences tortures and kills five hundred animals every day to test fertilizers, agrochemicals, pesticides and pharmaceuticals. They have been caught in SIX undercover investigations committing animal abuse including punching five month-old beagle puppies in the face on tape and dissecting a monkey while it was still alive. Their employees have been convicted of animal cruelty and have been documented falsifying scientific data on a number of occasions.

GlaxoSmithKline: Drop Huntingdon Life Sciences!
